In July 2014, Steve Plotz, stopped by in Haines Junction, Yukon, for a concert just outside the village’s St. Elias Centre. He performed under the open sky with the dramatic St. Elias Mountain Range as the back drop.
Steve Poltz music has been described as: “Mildly demented folk rock, with a massive repertoire encompassing everything from goofy answering machine messages to love ballads both romantic and regretful.”
Steve was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but has lived most of his life in Southern California and those geographic poles are quite likely responsible for his unhinged genius. He is a dual citizen – but has often said that, “should a hostage situation arise, I become conveniently Canadian.”
